What Makes It Last
Let’s talk about the heart of the thing: the heating element. It’s housed in a halogen-filled quartz tube. The halogen gas is key—it stops the filament from evaporating, which means a much longer lifespan for the heater. And the quartz itself? It’s tough. It handles the shock of going from cold to hot, and back again, without cracking. Then there’s the R7s connector. It’s a simple, two-pin ceramic interface that gives you a fast, secure connection. It’s a direct fit for standard fixtures, and it can take the heat at the base without melting the wiring around it.
